A group of six intrepid travelers from Russia decided to discover the Mekong Delta the Vietnamese way: by motorbike. However, we are not talking your average Honda Dream here; the bikes in question were beautiful Hondas and Suzukis, ranging from 500cc to a 1000cc.
Their route took them from Saigon to Can Tho, Rach Gia, Ha Tien, Chau Doc, and back to Saigon. Roughing it on the roads and in Vietnamese traffic, the group decided to stay at the Victoria Can Tho Resort and the Victoria Chau Doc Hotel for some pampering, cold drinks and massages to recover from the ride, in the luxury of 4-star accommodation. |

| From July 1, we will start upgrading 33 of our current superior rooms and shall finish this project by the end of September 2006. The upgrading will include a brand new bathroom with separate toilet, new furniture and colour scheme in the bedroom as well as new European doors and windows to the balcony of every room. This project will include rooms facing our luscious gardens and the sea, as well as rooms facing the Thu Bon River. During the remodeling period, we will of course upgrade most of the standard room bookings, in order to ensure full guest satisfaction. |

Since 2002, Eric Simard held the position of Director of Operations for the group and was later promoted to Assistant MD. His 21 year hospitality career started in prestigious French restaurants before going in for an international career in 1988, first for the Meridien group in the US then UAE, reaching the position of F&B Director in Malaysia in 1991. Before joining Victoria Hotels & Resorts, he worked for ACCOR Asia in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. |

Joining Vincent Aucante is the young French violinist Julien Dieudegard, the winner of three international prizes: “Georges Prêtre” in Douai, “Romano Romanini” in Brescia and “Joszef Szigeti” in Budapest. He is also the recipient of the Natexis-Banque Populaire award in France and is supported by the “Association Française d’Action Artistique”. |
